BRITISH LEGATION,

BANGKOK,

                             23rd July 1937

Sir,

I am authorized to inform you that, having regard to the long lapse of time, His Majesty's Government no longer desire to insist on the care and maintenance of Christ Church being in the hands of the British Representative. The congregation will therefore be at liberty in future to direct its affairs in conformity with its own wishes.

I am, Sir,

                                                                Your obedient Servant,

                                                                      JOHN BAILEY (signed),

                                                                       Chargé d' Affaires.
